CELPIP is an English language test pronounced by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent resident status in the country. Along with, it facilitates those who are seeking for the work permit in Canada-Nursing / Manufacturing and Food processing.
One of the versions of the CELPIP Test is the CELPIP-General Test which assesses the test takers in functional Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking skills. It is accepted by IRCC as proof of English language proficiency for permanent residency in Canada. Other organizations that accept the CELPIP-General Test include the Real Estate Council of British Columbia and Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council.
